Robert John Biermeier, age 78, of Nevis, MN, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, April 13, 2014. Bob was born on August 1, 1935 to Joe and Gunda (Hansen) Biermeier in South St. Paul, MN. He attended public school and grew into manhood in this same area. He married the love of his life, Mary Dudley on November 3, 1956. This union was blessed with four daughters. Bob lived and worked in the Mpls/St. Paul area until his retirement in 2002 when he and Mary fulfilled their long held dream to move to God's country where he and Mary have made their home half-way between Nevis and Dorset, MN. Bob loved hunting with his girls, son-in-laws and grandsons and enjoyed fishing, especially with his boys. Bob loved to tell stories again and again and again. He may have been born a city boy but he loved the country living of Nevis. Robert was a member of the lst English Lutheran Church in Nevis. More then anything, Bob loved and enjoyed spending time with his family. Bob is survived by Mary, his loving wife for 57 years; 4 daughters who adored him: Julie (Terry) Willms, Jennifer (Todd) Spalding, Jill (Mark) Kamrath and Jolynn (Kelly) Kamrath; 10 grandchildren: Jason (Joslyn), Dustin (Julie), Nicole (Brian), Tony (Nicole), CJ (Becky), Robby (Taylor), Mike, Brittany (Jake), Alyssa (Adam), Tyler; 6 great grand babies: Olivia, Landon, Sophia, McKinley, Mitchell with #6 to arrive in November of 2014; siblings: Joe (Carol), Barbara, Larry (Sandy), Kris (Jerry) and many family members and friends who will miss him dearly. Bob is preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Ron, Shirley and Jim; in-laws: Pat and Mata Dudley, Al, Don, Maj, Vic and Bea. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, April 19, 2014 at the First English Lutheran Church in Dorset, MN with Rev. Chris Davis officiating. The organist will be Connie Shubert. A visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11:00 prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. A time of sharing memories and words of encouragement led off by Robert's son-in-law, Todd will be held during the food and fellowship time following the service at the church.
